Fishwest Travel: The Andros South Lodge 2018: Photo Essay

South Andros island is considered the Bonefishing Capital of the World by a majority of saltwater anglers. The south end of Andros island is home to an endless network of diverse flats, the opportunities are boundless. The Fishwest crew and our group of regulars made the pilgrimage down to Kemps Bay Feb 24th – March 3rd. The weather was phenomenal with plenty of calm mornings and bright sun! Bonefish were aplenty and guests had tons of shots at Cuda, Jacks & even a giant pair of permit were spotted on the flats. The photos below chronicle a small piece of the action.

Check out more on the lodge by former Fishwest Shop Manager Morgan Griffith in his series aptly titled I Underestimated Bonefish.

For those who are interested in joining us while we explore this great fishery stay tuned for info on our 2019 trip. Learn more about this and other destinations by checking out Fishwest Travel.
