The team at Fishwest is excited to share this video in a series that spotlights one of our favorite places. Over the years, Smithers BC has served as a starting point for many adventures to the heart of Steelhead Mecca. For those who haven’t caught the steelhead bug, or had a chance to travel to this magical place check out the video below showcasing this wonderful fishery and the people that call this region home

I grew up in the shadow of some of the most heralded ski slopes in the western United States. Instead of skiing or snowboarding I took up fly fishing at a young age. Through high school & my early college years I was fortunate enough to represent my country playing Sled Hockey.
