Throwback Thursday: Viva Cuba – A Film By Smith Optics

Today we are bringing you a classic throwback film from our friend at Smith Optics.

Travel Along with Ross Kingsley and John “Redbeard” Jones from Smith as they explore the flats of Cuba. “Viva Cuba” has everything you want in a saltwater fly fishing film. From permit, tarpon, bonefish, to barracuda. These anglers had nothing short of an epic time on this flats fishing adventure.

I grew up in the shadow of some of the most heralded ski slopes in the western United States. Instead of skiing or snowboarding I took up fly fishing at a young age. Through high school & my early college years I was fortunate enough to represent my country playing Sled Hockey. I started at Fishwest as a member of the web team and now I oversee and manage almost every aspect of the Fishwest e-commerce platform.
